Jonathan Silver
Managing Director
Jonathan is one of the nation’s leading clean energy investors and advisors.

One of the country’s “Top 10 Green Tech Influencers”, Jonathan led the federal government’s $40 billion clean energy investment fund, the largest fund of its kind in the world. He also led a $20 billion fund focused on electric vehicles. The US Department of Energy expects the funds to make a $5 billion profit, ranking them among the most successful government investment programs ever.

Jonathan’s team underwrote some of the largest, most innovative and most complex energy projects in the country, including solar, wind, geothermal, biofuels, advanced fossil, advanced nuclear, and advanced automotive technology projects. Several transactions were named “Deal of the Year” by leading investment trade publications.

Jonathan regularly advises some of the largest institutional investors and companies in the sector. Earlier, he co-founded Core Capital Partners, a leading venture capital firm and was the COO of Tiger Management, one of the country’s largest and most successful hedge funds. He began his career in the Financial Institutions Group at McKinsey & Company.

Jonathan’s government service includes stints as senior policy advisor to the U.S. Secretaries of Commerce, Energy, Interior, and Treasury. He is, or has been, on the boards of numerous organizations, including: the Wind Energy Foundation, American Forests and the Solar Electric Light Fund. He is also a former Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

Jonathan is a graduate of Harvard University, received a CEP from the Institute of Politics in Paris and did doctoral coursework at the Graduate Institute of International Studies at the University of Geneva. He has received both Fulbright and Rotary Graduate fellowships.

Peter O'Rourke
Managing Director
Peter has more than two decades of public and private sector experience in large-scale energy and advanced vehicles project management and financing, energy and environmental consulting, and greenhouse gas emissions trading.

Prior to TEA, Peter most recently served as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO), where he structured and managed more than $3 billion in distributed solar generation projects. Peter led large, complex solar transactions, working closely with lenders, investors and developers.

Prior to LPO, Peter served for ten years as managing partner at Griffin Investing, LLC, a boutique renewable energy project development firm. He also served as senior vice-president at Sparber & Associates, Inc., where he created and managed the firm’s energy and environmental practices.

Peter is also a founding member of the International Emissions Trading Association, and has advised European and U.S. state governments on the development and structure of greenhouse emissions trading systems.

Peter is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Morgan Wright
Managing Director
Morgan has an extensive background in clean energy public finance, principal investing, investment advisory, strategy, and operations. Prior to TEA, Morgan provided strategic, financial, and operational counsel to energy and infrastructure clients.

Previously, Morgan held senior roles at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), including Senior Advisor for Technology Transfer and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of Management Operations for DOE’s Loan Programs Office (LPO), where he helped manage multi-billion dollar domestic renewable energy and advanced vehicles manufacturing investments.

Morgan served as a member of LPO’s Risk Committee and developed LPO’s award winning, state-of-the-art workflow management system.

Earlier, Morgan held senior management positions at several e-commerce technology providers. He was also a Vice President at venture firm Core Capital Partners, where he focused on investments in technology and manufacturing. Morgan began his career in the Restructuring group at DeutscheBank Alex. Brown.

Morgan is a graduate with Honors from the University of Chicago.

Jonathan Plowe
Managing Director
Jonathan is an industry-leading innovator with over two decades of private sector experience spanning tax equity, renewable energy project finance, corporate taxation, and structured finance.

Previously, Jonathan was Managing Director of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s renewable energy solutions business, where he led development of the bank’s world-class renewable energy project finance initiative, spearheaded award-winning rooftop solar transactions, and frequently represented the bank at industry speaking engagements and with the media.

From 1997 through 2016, Jonathan originated, structured, and closed many billions of dollars of complex proprietary investments and client transactions. He has deep experience with corporate clients and institutional investors across a wide range of industries, including Fortune 500 companies and early-stage sector leaders.

During his twenty years on Wall Street, Jonathan has also worked extensively with senior representatives of various state, Federal, and multilateral government agencies.

Before joining Merrill Lynch, Jonathan was a corporate tax attorney with Skadden, Arps, focused on financial products, M&A;, and structured finance.

Jonathan is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a law degree from The George Washington University Law School.
